1777 (11 July) - Letter from the farm of Abraham Lott, treasurer of New York and ancestor of the Lott family which owned the land on which 1515 47th later stood. The letter from the Revolutionary War is from Tench Tilghman to Colonel Daniel Morgan.

Tench Tilghman (December 25, 1744 – April 18, 1786) was an officer in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary war. He served as an aide de camp to General George Washington, achieving the rank of lieutenant colonel.

Daniel Morgan (July 6, 1736 – July 6, 1802) was an American pioneer, soldier, and United States Representative from Virginia. One of the most gifted battlefield tacticians of the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783), he later commanded troops during the suppression of the Whiskey Rebellion (1791–1794).

    The maximum dimensions of each frame size are:

    • Accent: Up to 9" x 12" 
    • Spotlight: Up to 16" x 20"
    • Centerpiece: Up to 34" x 36"
    • Gallery: Up to 32" x 40"
  • Shipping & Delivery

    Shipping is always free!

    Prints will be scanned at the archives, and retouched by our artists to make them pixel-perfect. They will then be reprinted, trimmed, matted and framed to fit their custom sizes.

    You should expect the final, framed print in 4-6 weeks. Because each print is custom researched, retouched, and framed, all sales are final.
